    I often get asked, “What’s the difference between boosting a post and running an ad on Facebook or Instagram?” Boosting posts and running ads serve different purposes and offer different levels of customization and targeting. While I could provide a long-winded answer to this, here’s the shorter version: ⭐ Boosting a post is a quick and easy way to extend the reach of your content to a broader audience with minimal effort and complexity. You just click the “boost” button directly in the post and choose a few options. Boosting is great for posts that are already performing well organically and can benefit from a wider audience. In addition to expanding your reach, boosting can also increase engagement. ⭐️ Running ads, on the other hand, is better for specific marketing campaigns with defined objectives beyond just engagement, such as driving website traffic or generating sales. It requires more planning and optimization but offers much greater control over targeting, creative formats, and budgeting. To run ads on Facebook or Instagram, you need to have access to your business page’s Ads Manager platform. In both cases, you define how much you want to spend. Just keep in mind that the more you spend, the more people you’ll reach.   • 🎉A BIG Congratulations to my client, The Great Blizzards of Massachusetts Special Hockey Inc! 🏒 This past Saturday they had a very successful fundraising event, the 2024 Keurig Dr Pepper Boston Bruins Alumni Classic. Their Special Hockey Select Team squared off against some Boston Bruins Alumni greats, including former goalie Tuukka Rask! It was an amazing event, which also included a silent auction, raffles, and more. Executive Director Steve Nearman, the coaches, parents, volunteers and players did a fantastic job putting this event together! 👏 I helped them promote the event on social media, as well as with a press release, sponsor flyer, poster, banner, and eblast. The Great Blizzards is an all-inclusive ice hockey team for people with intellectual, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities. They're the team for everyone without a team - no hockey player left behind. They currently have 2 teams - one on the South Shore and one on Cape Cod.   • Have you tried AI (artificial intelligence) yet for your business? 🖥️ There are lots of AI tools out there like ChatGPT and Bard by Google, and many are free to use. AI offers endless possibilities for small businesses. It can help in areas like customer support (chatbots), marketing, data analytics, process automation, sales forecasting, and much more. I recently started using ChatGPT to help with content and research for my clients. Here are a few things I’ve learned so far… 💻 The free version of ChatGPT only provides data through 2021, so if your research needs to include present-day data you’ll need to upgrade to the paid version. 🔎 Any content you receive from an AI platform should be fact-checked for accuracy, and you should also check it for plagiarism (I recommend Grammarly, but there are lots of good tools for this). 📝 If you’re using AI for content, be sure to review and EDIT so the content is in your own voice - no one wants to sound like a robot. You can actually teach your AI tool to give you content in a style close to your own voice by providing samples of your writing. Are you using AI?
