Garden of Threads brings together participants of all ages through six hands-on artmaking events, where community members will create needle felted flowers, bees, and butterflies. Each individual piece will become part of a larger installation resembling a blooming field of flowers—celebrating creativity, connection, and shared experience. The completed installation will be unveiled during a community celebration on Wednesday, April 8, from 5:00–7:00 PM in the Scituate Town Library Gallery. Light refreshments will be provided. Pop up Art School is a mobile art studio that brings custom, hands-on art experiences to libraries, Councils on Aging, and corporate workplaces that help teams and communities relax, connect, and collaborate. Garden of Threads is an example of their custom work, an approach they also bring to teambuilding events seeking meaningful, hands-on experiences.
